Membership
Vassa welcomes prospective members who associate with the
aims of the Society. We suggest you come along to one of our
talks to find out more about the Society before applying for
membership.

2008 MEMBERSHIP RATES
Since we are a not for profit, volunteer society our fees
are calculated to cover our annual running costs.
Benefits of membership are that all members enjoy free talks
and outings throughout the calendar year.
We have no charge either for guests who attend talks but who
are not eligible to attend outings.
Once a year we organise a weekend away and this is always
a self-financing trip, over and above the nine outings undertaken
during the year.
Each year in March at our AGM after the subscription rates
are ratified, members are advised in writing by the end of
March that payment is due within 30 days. As proof of current payment, a coloured slip is mailed to you along with your May newsletter, and must be inserted into your badge and worn at all times.

Individual R 150
Family R190 (providing you share the same address)
Student R 25 (proof of student registration must be
attached & registration fee is excluded)
Plus Registration
For new members there is a once-off registration fee of R100
per person or per address which includes your badge.
The penalty for late payments is that your membership will
be deemed lapsed, and so you will be required to pay the full
registration fee. The replacement cost of badges is R15.
